Job summary

The position offers a non-exempt, per diem schedule with on-call requirements, holidays and weekend shifts. A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and ASCP MT certification (preferred) are required or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent
• ASCP MT certification preferred
• Minimum of three years of related experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted where applicable

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform tests and interpret results
• Interprets test results with patient history to explain abnormal findings
• Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies
• Assists in developing new tests and quality procedures
• Maintains accurate records using computer systems
• Ensures equipment maintenance and proper operation
• Instructs staff on setup and operation of new equipment and procedures
