Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform and interpret complex chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests in a high-volume core lab environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, and at least three years of related experience. ASCP MT certification is preferred. Per diem, on-call, and weekend shifts may apply, with a competitive starting range and benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years of related laboratory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or successful completion of an accredited four-year school of Medical Technology.
• ASCP certification as an MT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform various tests in the assigned area.
• Interprets and correlates test results with patient history and diagnosis.
• Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies and ensures quality control.
