Job summary

Staples Advantage Canada in Omaha, NE is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor staff and supervise in a fast-paced warehouse. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, while upholding safety rules and maintaining a clean workspace.

Responsibilities include training teammates, stepping in for supervisors, and ensuring efficient, safe operations to meet customer needs. Experience in a warehouse and ability to pass a drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Overtime hours may be required based on business need.
• Lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds; wear safety shoes.
• Walk and stand for the duration of shifts; age 18+.
• Ability to mentor and train teammates in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team to meet customer needs and ensure efficiency.
