Job summary

Staples Advantage Canada is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor staff, cover supervisory tasks, and ensure safe, efficient movement of goods in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will operate forklifts and related equipment, maintain a clean workspace, and follow safety procedures. The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds, standing for long periods, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Drug screen must be passable where permitted by law.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Must stand/walk for the full shift.
• At least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new material handlers and cover supervisor duties as needed.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move goods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
