Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Engineer for Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear Electrical in Prince George, VA. You will own the electrical design, verification, and lifecycle support of LV switchgear, interfacing with customers and manufacturing teams to ensure on-time, compliant product releases.

You will lead design reviews, coordinate protection, metering, and communication architectures, and drive optimization through DFM/DFT/DFR while ensuring adherence to UL, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems preferred) or related field.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years in low-voltage switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, or power distribution products.
• Demonstrated technical leadership on multiple NPI programs and successful product launches.
• Expert knowledge of UL/IEEE standards governing LV switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, protection relays, circuit breakers, metering systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design and architecture of LV switchgear, including protection, control, metering, communications, and monitoring systems.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and design deliverables.
• Lead development and validation of protection and coordination philosophies, relay settings, arc-flash strategies, and system studies.
• Lead design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp activities across global sites.
• Serve as the primary electrical engineering interface for customers during design reviews.
