Job summary
Jabil in Prince George, Virginia, is hiring a Lead Engineer for Low Voltage Switchgear Electrical to drive design, validation, and lifecycle support from concept to production release. You’ll lead electrical architecture, protection and control systems, and the integration of IEC 61850, Modbus, and other industrial standards.
The role requires 10+ years in electrical engineering including LV switchgear, with a strong leadership record and experience with UL/ANSI standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with power systems focus.
- 10+ years in electrical engineering including 5+ years in LV switchgear or power distribution.
- Proven technical leadership on multiple NPI programs and product launches.
Responsibilities
- Own LV switchgear electrical design and architecture including protection, control, metering, and comms.
- Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and deliverables.
- Lead design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and ramp support across global sites.
- Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Drive DFM/DFT/DFR and VAVE, plus risk reviews and root-cause investigations.
- Interface with customers during design reviews and issue resolution.
