Estes Express in Joliet, IL is seeking an experienced Dock Supervisor to lead and direct dock teams, set targets, monitor performance, and develop staff within a fast-paced LTL operation.

You will enforce safety rules, participate in hiring, manage schedules, equipment movement, and ensure timely paperwork while meeting KPI targets. This role requires 50 hours/week and willingness to work nights/weekends.

Formación

• Must have high school level education or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry, including basic paperwork flow preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required.
• Knowledge of the local metropolitan area.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and direct dock employees, set targets, monitor performance, and develop staff.
• Ensure efficient, clean, and safe LTL operation including dock planning and scheduling.
• Enforce policy compliance and safety regulations.
• Participate in hiring and termination processes.
• Manage Service Center business plan components as directed by the Service Center Manager.
• Meet KPI targets and utilize company tools for operations.
• Coordinate equipment movement with other supervisors.
• Communicate with customers via phone, fax, or email.
• Ensure timely handling of all related paperwork.
