Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have leadership skills including hiring, coaching, counseling, training and terminating employees.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of LTL trucking operations and paperwork flow preferred.
• Experience with dock, dispatch or management roles in a trucking environment recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees; set targets, monitor performance, coach and develop staff.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules and regulations.
• Assist in hiring and termination processes as needed.
• Manage and execute portions of the Service Center Business plan.
• Meet KPI targets and optimize daily operations.
• Coordinate equipment movement (trailers/tractors) with other supervisors.
