Job summary

Parexel FSP seeks a Scientist 3 - Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator to lead daily laboratory operations onsite at a client site in Rahway, NJ. You will oversee lab resources, safety practices, and coordination with cross-functional teams to maintain efficient workflows.

The role requires strong organizational skills, lab management experience, and the ability to troubleshoot instruments such as HPLC/UPLC, CE-SDS/cIEF, ELISA, qPCR and high-throughput liquid handling systems.

Qualifications

Proven laboratory management experience with a strong understanding of lab operations and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory functions, providing guidance and support to laboratory staff.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth operations during lab stand-downs and organizational initiatives
Manage temperature storage facilities, including both emergency protocols and scheduled clean-outs.
Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions for platform assays, ensuring they remain stocked and within expiry date.
Receive samples through our laboratory management system, ensuring samples are ready for testing.
Submit work orders for lab equipment and computer calibrations; facilitate scheduling with technicians and supervise their activities.
Schedule and follow up on preventive maintenance for laboratory equipment
Serve as the point of contact for lab utility needs.
Manage inventory and procurement processes of lab supply. Order and coordinate the organization of common laboratory items; review backordered items and maintain updated inventories of essential supplies.
Assist with scheduling, escorting, and on-site supervision of equipment technicians.
