Job summary

Parexel FSP is seeking a Scientist 3 – Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator to lead day-to-day laboratory operations at a client site in Rahway, NJ. This full-time role focuses on optimizing resource use and enforcing safety practices in multiple labs.

The candidate will oversee equipment maintenance, sample handling, and collaboration across cross-functional teams, with strong emphasis on organization and communication. This position requires onsite work and offers full benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or similar life sciences or engineering discipline and years of relevant experience as listed below
• Scientist 3 – B.S. with 3-5 years of experience
• Senior Scientist I – B.S. with 5+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory functions and provide guidance to staff
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth operations during stand-downs and initiatives
• Manage temperature storage facilities and handle emergency protocols
• Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions and ensure expiry date compliance
• Receive samples via the laboratory management system and prep for testing
• Submit work orders for lab equipment, schedule calibrations, and oversee technicians
