Job summary

Parexel is seeking a Scientist 3 – Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator for a full-time, on-site role at a client site in Rahway, NJ. You will lead laboratory operations, ensure safety, and coordinate equipment and staff to maintain efficient workflows.

The role requires a BS in chemistry/biochemistry/biology or related field with 3–5 years of experience, strong communication skills, and hands-on instrument troubleshooting (HPLC/UPLC, SEC, IEX/CEX, RP, HIC, CE-SDS, cIEF).

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field; 3–5 years for Scientist 3 role
• Proven laboratory management experience and safety knowledge
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory functions
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth operations during stand-downs
• Manage temperature storage facilities and maintenance protocols
• Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions for platform assays
• Receive samples and ensure readiness for testing
• Submit work orders for equipment and calibrations; schedule maintenance
• Oversee inventory and procurement of lab supplies
• Escort and supervise equipment technicians on site
