Job summary

Parexel FSP seeks a Scientist 3 - Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator for a long-term assignment, onsite in Rahway, NJ. The role focuses on managing daily lab operations, ensuring safety, and optimizing resources across multiple labs.

The candidate will supervise equipment maintenance, manage inventory, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support platform assays and sample testing. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

Proven laboratory management experience with strong lab operations and safety protocols.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; cross-functional collaboration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience troubleshooting instruments in HPLC/UPLC, SEC/IEX/CEX/HIC, CE-SDS or cIEF.
Experience with ELISA, qPCR and basic molecular biology techniques.
Experience with high-throughput liquid handling systems.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for laboratory functions and staff guidance.
Coordinate lab operations during stand-downs and organizational changes.
Manage temperature storage facilities and emergency protocols; schedule clean-outs.
Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions; ensure expiry and stocking.
Receive samples via LIMS and ensure readiness for testing.
Schedule and oversee maintenance and calibrations for lab equipment.
