Job summary

Parexel is seeking a Scientist 3 – Laboratory and Instrumentation Coordinator for a long‑term, onsite assignment at a client site in Rahway, NJ. The role focuses on daily lab operations, resource optimization, and safety compliance as a full‑time Parexel FSP employee.

The ideal candidate has a BS in life sciences with 3–5 years of experience, strong communication, and hands‑on expertise in chromatography, qPCR, and high‑throughput systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or related life sciences or engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience as Scientist 3 or equivalent.
• Proven laboratory management experience and safety protocol knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for laboratory functions and staff guidance.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth operations during stand‑downs and initiatives.
• Manage temperature storage facilities and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Prepare mobile phase and stock solutions; ensure expiry and inventory.
• Receive samples through the LIMS and ensure readiness for testing.
• Submit work orders for lab equipment and coordinate calibrations; supervise technicians.
• Oversee inventory, procurement, and organization of lab supplies and backorders.
• Schedule and supervise on‑site equipment technicians.
