Job summary

The Atlantic District seeks a Lead Insurance Agent to run a Farmers agency in Charlottesville, VA. You will lead growth, operations, and client service, translating complex policies into clear protections for neighbors in the Charlottesville area.

You’ll mentor staff, partner with underwriting, and represent the firm at community events, driving local market presence and long-term client trust.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct experience managing insurance client portfolios.
• Active Virginia Property and Casualty insurance license.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate renewals and identify new business growth.
• Deep familiarity with the Virginia insurance landscape and market nuances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and nurture a dedicated book of business, ensuring every client feels heard and well-protected.
• Lead the charge in identifying coverage gaps and recommending solutions for policyholders.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to secure the best terms for clients.
