Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across operations. You will apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to lift safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth. Interface with General Manager/Director of Operations and may supervise CI resources.

Responsibilities include leading Kaizen events, facilitating Value Stream Maps, and coaching teams on lean methods. Strong data skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing required.
• MBA or Master’s degree preferred with relevant engineering/business background.
• Proficiency with PowerBI/Tableau for data visualization and SQL for data queries.

Responsibilities

• Collect data, perform statistical analysis, document processes and gaps.
• Lead and manage high-impact CI projects across the operation.
• Coach and mentor teams in CI, QA, and Lean principles.
• Provide regular data reports and drive value through Kaizen events.
