Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to identify and drive value through data-driven CI, engineering and automation across operations. You will mentor teams, map processes, and lead Kaizen events to achieve measurable gains in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will interface with senior management and operations leaders, oversee CI resources, and help define strategic quality and lean improvements across Warehousing and Transportation functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain with 7+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• 7+ years in related warehousing, transportation and/or manufacturing experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint & Visio; expert level.
• Data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL) preferred.
• Proficiency in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, PDCA, VSM, Kaizen and 5S.
• Knowledge of CAD/AutoCAD and warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma and related certification is required; CPMP/ISO/QMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Collect data, perform analyses, map processes, identify gaps and drive value through CI plans.
• Coach teams in lean methods and facilitate Kaizen events and value stream mapping.
• Support start-ups, retrofits and expansions including pricing inputs and go-live certifications.
• Provide regular progress reports and influence inventory/supply chain strategy.
