Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-driven CI across operations. You will identify improvements, lead high-impact projects, and coach teams in Lean and QA practices to boost safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

You will interface with employees at all levels, manage CI resources, and collaborate with the CI Manager and site leadership to sustain results through kaizen events and value stream mapping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain with 7+ years in warehousing/transportation/manufacturing.
• Master's degree (Industrial Eng, MBA, Supply Chain) with 5+ years experience; MBA with undergrad engineering.
• Microsoft Office suite expertise (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) at expert level.
• PowerBI/Tableau data visualization and SQL/DAX programming are preferred.
• Proficiency in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps for CI initiatives.
• Manage high-impact CI projects; support start-ups, retrofits, and expansions; interact with account management/customers.
• Demonstrate wide range of engineering methods and Lean tools; coach others in CI/QA/Lean principles.
• Supervise CI engineering/QA professionals; participate in hiring/ coaching.
