Job summary

Walmart Glendale is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration to install and service complex supermarket HVAC and refrigeration systems in the Glendale area. You will interpret plans, calibrate direct digital controls, and work within building codes to ensure reliable operation of refrigeration units and Energy Management Systems.

Qualifications

HVAC/R certification (vocational/technical) required.
EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification required.
HVAC-R/Mech Journeyman where required per state.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and control panels.
Configures low ambient systems and direct digital controls to spec.
Interprets layouts and schematics for compliant system setup.
Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial/industrial systems.
Implements preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
Maintains supermarket refrigeration units and energy management systems.
Leads field teams and mentors Technicians and Apprentices.
Communicates with customers to explain issues and outcomes.
Drives company vehicle to service calls; participates in on-call rotation.
