Job summary
Walmart is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration in Atlanta, GA. This role installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial/industrial settings, diagnosing issues and performing preventive maintenance to optimize performance.
You will work with management and teammates, mentor less-experienced staff, and ensure safety protocols while delivering reliable service across multiple Walmart facilities.
Qualifications
- HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ mechanical maintenance experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
- Or 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
- EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid driver’s license with clean motor vehicle report.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems.
- Follow OSHA standards and EPA refrigerant handling protocols.
- Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
- Coordinate service calls, manage workload, and document work and inventory.
- Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls within regions.
