Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R technician to install and service refrigeration systems, ductwork, and control panels across multiple facilities. You will configure and calibrate direct digital controls, interpret schematics, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.

You will lead field teams, mentor apprentices, and coordinate service calls while adhering to OSHA and EPA guidelines. A valid EPA refrigerant certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Option 1 or 2: HVAC/R certification or 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or building controls.
• Experience with commercial HVAC/R and building controls is preferred.
• valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and control panels.
• Configures low ambient systems and direct digital controls per specs.
• Maintains and repairs supermarket refrigeration units and walk-ins.
• Leads field teams and mentors technicians and apprentices.
• Coordinates service calls and uses scheduling tools to manage workload.
• Drives company vehicle and participates in on‑call rotations.
