Job summary

Walmart in Plano, TX seeks an experienced Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial settings. You will interpret schematics, diagnose issues, and lead preventive maintenance while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

You will operate company vehicles, use digital tools to manage service calls, mentor field teams, and ensure minimal downtime across facilities.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and hands-on maintenance experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and building codes for proper system configuration.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and performing preventive maintenance.
• OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling knowledge.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills for field teams.
• Proficiency with digital tools for scheduling, inventory, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and control panels.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant problems in commercial/industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration units (racks, walk-ins, reach-ins).
• Inspect systems for compliance with HVAC/R regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
• Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Manage service calls, coordinate with vendors, document refrigerant usage per EPA standards.
• Operate company vehicles safely within assigned regions.
