Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for new home construction.

The role includes scheduling and supervising subcontractors, guiding homeowners through walks and inspections, and ensuring safety and quality across multiple builds. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of related experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to travel between communities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years related experience required.
• Ability to manage and complete the “13 Milestones of Construction” in JDE.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel among communities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specs.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage construction schedules to deliver high-quality homes on time and on budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor workmanship for compliance with plans and codes.
• Complete home sites from planning to occupancy, meeting contract obligations.
• Inspect work, authorize payments, and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Maintain exceptional customer service throughout the construction process.
• Communicate progress and address homeowner concerns promptly.
