Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead homebuilding activities from permit to occupancy across multiple communities.

You will manage schedules, supervise subcontractors, ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and coordinate with sales and warranty teams to deliver a high-quality product. The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to read plans, manage budgets, and use DRH Construction apps.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years related construction experience.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle to drive between communities.
• Knowledge of building codes and permit processes.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and email.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control.
• Experience with DRH Construction apps preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Coordinate subcontractors and schedule inspections.
• Oversee customer walkthroughs and warranty processes.
• Maintain site safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and company standards.
• Communicate progress with sales, warranty, and management teams.
• Approve subcontractor payments after inspection.
