Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. in Schaumburg is seeking a Superintendent-NE to manage all functions of the job site from permit to closing, coordinating subcontractors, homeowner walkthroughs, and inspections while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will schedule and supervise work across multiple homes, ensure on-time delivery within budget, monitor code compliance, and maintain excellent customer service throughout the construction process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years related construction experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs, and drawings.
• Vehicle with valid license; travel among communities.
• Knowledge of building codes and permits.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and DRH Construction apps.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule and ensure quality on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and verify workmanship.
• Complete homes from planning through occupancy and ensure contract compliance.
• Inspect work, stop noncompliant activities, and authorize payments.
• Oversee customer experience and conduct homeowner orientations.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety; manage warranty process post-close.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and address concerns promptly.
• Ensure adherence to building codes and company standards.
• Collaborate with sales and management for proactive issue resolution.
