Job summary

D.R. Horton Houston Central Superintendent role oversees all aspects of home construction from permit to closing, coordinating multiple crews, scheduling subcontractors, and ensuring quality and safety standards.

You will lead on-site operations, manage timelines, control costs, and maintain open communication with homeowners to enhance satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership, problem solving, and the ability to drive projects in a fast-paced environment with high customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specs.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule to deliver high-quality homes on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and ensure workmanship meets codes and standards.
• Complete homes from planning to occupancy and satisfy contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractors' work and halt noncompliant activities.
• Manage customer experience throughout construction and provide regular progress updates.
• Coordinates with sales and warranty teams to ensure clear communications and issue resolution.
