D.R. Horton is seeking a Superintendent to oversee multiple home construction projects from permit to close. You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walkthroughs, and ensure safety, quality, and code compliance across sites.

The role emphasizes customer satisfaction and timely delivery of a high-quality product. You will manage budgets, monitor project progress, and coordinate with sales, warranty, and management teams to resolve issues proactively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive between communities.
• Ability to manage cost overruns and budget.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule and ensure quality on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors and verify workmanship meets plans and codes.
• Oversee home site from planning to occupancy and satisfy obligations.
• Inspect work, authorize payments, and ensure material receipt.
• Manage customer experience and communicate progress to homeowners.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Lead post-close warranty process and address warranty requests.
• Collaborate with sales and management for open communication.
• Uphold professional and ethical standards.
