Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced airborne operations supervisor to manage functional check flight activities and aircrew personnel at Joint Base Andrews, MD. Qualifications

• Must have completed formal training conducted under the auspices of an Armed Forces Pilot Training School and be a graduate of the USAF qualification course (UH-1N, HH-60G, HH-60W, or CV-22B) or equivalent
• Must have recorded a minimum of 1,000 flight hours as pilot in command in aircraft mission, type, design, and series
• Must possess a thorough working knowledge of UH-1N, HH-60G, HH-60W, or CV-22B systems, applicable maintenance/technical publications, and regulations
• Must be able to read and interpret technical data, drawings, maintenance instructions and other applicable data
• Must have knowledge and skill in mathematics and measurement units
• Must be familiar with flight line operations and safety requirements
• Must hold a valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate and FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
• Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends as required
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be able to follow instructions and work with others to solve problems
• Must be able to plan and prioritize work with little supervision
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required licensing, certification and security clearance

Responsibilities

• Manage functional check flight/maintenance test flight operations and aircrew personnel
• Oversee scheduling, training, standardization, and safety programs for contract aircrew
• Develop and maintain flight operations procedures in line with the contract PWS
• Perform preflight planning including flight plans/logs, weather, NOTAMS, fuel, and weight data
• Review aircraft logs to determine checks and ensure proper documentation
• Brief crew and passengers on mission data and procedures
• Perform preflight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures and checks
• Conduct maintenance ground and in-flight operational checks for airworthiness
• Brief and demonstrate procedures to flight crews and non-crewmembers
• Carry out cross-country ferrying operations and recovery operations as needed
• Prepare and complete forms and records per publications and directives
• Assist in ground handling of aircraft and ensure equipment safety and cleanliness
• Develop methods to increase efficiency and quality and participate in training programs
• Ensure compliance with FOD, Hazardous Waste, and safety programs
• Maintain currency and proficiency on required maneuvers and manuals
