Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified pilot to perform test flights and certify aircraft readiness on HH-60W helicopters. You will conduct airworthiness checks, troubleshoot on ground and in flight, and accompany maintenance teams during recovery and ferry flights.

You must hold a FAA commercial pilot certificate with rotorcraft and instrument ratings, have a valid second-class FAA medical, and be able to obtain Top-Secret clearance. English fluency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess FAA commercial pilot certificate with rotorcraft and instrument ratings.
• Must have completed a proficiency check within the previous 17 months.
• Must possess or be able to attain a current FAA Medical Certificate Second Class.
• Must have 1,500 hours as first pilot with 500 hours in helicopters, 300+ in HH-60W or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform test flights and demonstrate aircraft proficiency after maintenance or modification.
• Determine airworthiness before release for flight.
• Troubleshoot aircraft on ground and in flight; write or verbalize corrections.
• Perform recovery flights and ferry to other sites.
• Verify maintenance records and ensure compliance with publications.
