Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor for California operations. The role supervises day-to-day maintenance on UH-60/LUH-72 aircraft, support equipment, and tools, ensuring safe and efficient work to meet schedules.

You will lead maintenance staff, coordinate tasks, and review modifications while interpreting manuals and orders to determine repair feasibility. Strong leadership and Army aviation experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include OSHA knowledge, safe working techniques and the ability to plan and schedule maintenance.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word/Outlook/Excel, and flight line operations knowledge.
• Extensive aviation maintenance experience and supervisory work within Army aviation context.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance and schedule work safely and efficiently.
• Supervise maintenance staff, assign work, review performance, and set priorities.
• Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, and inspections.
• Review work orders for modifications and upgrades to aircraft systems.
• Interpret maintenance manuals, SBs, and specs to determine repairs.
• Repair or replace electrical wiring and aircraft accessories as needed.
• Provide guidance on technical orders, checklists, and hazardous materials.
• Maintain equipment maintenance schedules and monitor inventories.
• Ensure material availability and timely reordering.
• Offer guidance to Engineering on new equipment start-ups and maintenance programs.
• Train employees on equipment per OSHA requirements and monitor training.
• May supervise aircraft/equipment movement and assist in line/hangar activities.
• Meet with customers and senior leadership as required.
