Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified Flight Engineer to perform maintenance ground and in-flight checks to determine airworthiness of HH-60W aircraft. You will conduct pre-flight preparation, operational checks, and assist in troubleshooting to ensure all systems operate correctly.

The role requires current Top Secret Security Clearance, USAF HH-60W qualification, and a FAA Medical Certificate Second Class. Willingness to deploy and work various shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a current FAA Medical Certificate Second Class.
• Must have completed USAF HH-60W qualification training.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance ground and in-flight checks to determine airworthiness.
• Maintain currency and qualification in HH-60W aircraft and perform pre-flights.
• Conduct operational checks to aid troubleshooting and ensure systems function properly.
• Deploy to support mission requirements and ferry flights as needed.
• Assist in ground handling and training of staff.
