Job summary

Plug Power Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I, Lead to support our fuel cell products installed in electric lift trucks.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, and service at a customer location, reporting issues and ordering parts as needed. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, the ability to communicate with customer personnel, and a disciplined approach to safety.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a vehicle safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting to maintain fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide emergency support as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service; may involve high-pressure hydrogen systems.
• Maintain safety procedures and document service activities.
• Communicate with regional service reps and customers; report incidents and logs.
