Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician I, Lead to support fuel cell systems in customer locations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on electric lift truck fuel cells while maintaining clear communication with customers and site personnel.

Responsibilities include field upgrades, inventory and parts management, safety compliance, and timely reporting of breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess a valid driver license, clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Knowledge of lift truck operation is preferred.
• General computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
• Provide emergency support service to customers as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support.
• Travel as required; drive safely and adhere to traffic laws.
• Represent Plug Power professionally with customers and site staff.
• Complete administrative duties and maintain service logs.
