Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products in electric lift trucks. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and service at a customer site, reporting issues and ordering parts as needed.

Strong technical, communication and safety skills are essential. Based in Brookline, MO, the role involves field service, occasional travel, and providing exceptional service while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Formal training and education may be also considered in lieu of direct experience.
• Must possess a valid driver license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Providing on-call and emergency support to customers as required.
• Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts for customer service and support as required.
• May travel; communicate with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket support.
