Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Lead/Float Phlebotomist to support multiple Patient Service Centers, filling in for PTOs and vacancies while reducing patient wait times. This role offers exposure to diverse settings and opportunities for growth within the phlebotomy team.

You will collect specimens, validate patient data in the system, and help train PSC staff while traveling to different sites as needed. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree welcomed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision and basic computer literacy.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or other accredited agency preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience and PSC experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide excellent phlebotomy and related services for all patients.
• Validate or update patient demographics and orders in the BILH system; enter data for new patients.
• Collect specimens by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the BILH laboratory.
• Perform daily administrative tasks to operate the PSC.
• Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring PSC Phlebotomists upon request.
• Travel to additional PSCs and doctor offices as needed.
• Comply with departmental policies and procedures; participate in QA and training.
