Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead/Float Phlebotomist to provide excellent phlebotomy services across multiple Patient Service Centers. This role covers PSCs for PTO, vacancies, and peak times, with opportunities to assist in opening new PSC locations.

Responsibilities include patient phlebotomy, data entry, specimen handling, and daily PSC operations. Travel to additional centers is required, and coaching of junior staff may be involved.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills across age groups and protocols.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide phlebotomy and related services for all patients.
• Validate or enter patient demographics and orders into the BILH system.
• Collect specimens via venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the Lab.
• Open/close PSCs and perform daily administrative tasks.
• Train, coach, and mentor PSC Phlebotomists as needed.
• Travel to multiple PSCs and doctor offices when required.
• Ensure compliance with policies and QA programs.
• Maintain high patient satisfaction through professional service.
