Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead/Float Phlebotomist to support multiple Patient Service Centers. This role ensures coverage for PTO, vacancies, and busy centers while delivering high-quality phlebotomy services.

You will collect specimens, enter patient information, and assist in training PSC staff. Travel to various PSCs and doctor offices is required to meet staffing needs and reduce patient wait times.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; associate degree welcomed.
• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently or in a team.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a phlebotomist and in lab Patient Service Centers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide phlebotomy services for all patients.
• Enter patient data accurately into the BILH system.
• Collect specimens by venipuncture and capillary methods.
• Prepare specimens for transport to lab.
• Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring PSC Phlebotomists.
• Travel to additional PSCs as needed.
