Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Lead/Float Phlebotomist to support multiple Patient Service Centers. You will cover for PTO, vacancies and peak times, ensuring timely patient blood draws and accurate data entry, while traveling to different PSCs as needed.

The role requires phlebotomy certification, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Travel and administrative duties are part of the daily routine.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or another accredited agency preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent phlebotomy and related services for all patients.
• Enter patient demographics, insurance and orders accurately into the system.
• Collect specimens by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to BILH lab via courier.
• Assist in opening/closing the PSC and perform administrative duties.
• Train, coach, and mentor PSC Phlebotomists as needed.
• Travel to additional PSCs and doctor sites as required.
• Follow departmental policies and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Support Phlebotomy Supervisor and Lab Manager as directed.
