Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technical Specialist to manage the setup and operation of mid-level production events in a hotel/convention center environment. You will ensure client satisfaction, supervise crew, and coordinate with the operations team for seamless events.

The role requires 3+ years in event technology with AV specialty and 3-4 years in customer service or hospitality. A valid driver’s license is preferred, and physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of event technology experience with specialty in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video.
• 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and breaks down advanced audiovisual equipment to ensure flawless events.
• Provides excellent customer service and maintains positive relationships with clients throughout pre-event and event execution.
• Mentors and develops technical and leadership skills in the team and stays current with industry trends.
• Supervises technicians during events and coordinates with operations for successful delivery.
• Manages equipment maintenance, security, storage, inventory, and forecasting of needs.
