Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, seeks an Estimating Manager for the Critical Infrastructure Group to oversee nationwide material takeoffs and estimating operations. You will drive consistency, support strategic bid pursuits, and align processes with standards.

Responsibilities include leading regional estimators, guiding design-build approaches, and coordinating with sales, PreBid, and engineering to resolve scope and ensure accuracy. Strong leadership and analytics are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in estimating for water, wastewater, industrial, or critical infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to supervise, coach, and lead estimating teams; experience with design-build support and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily estimating operations for all project types and complexity levels.
• Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely material takeoffs across the regional estimating team.
• Assign and monitor project workloads; manage calendars and capacity.
• Review complex takeoffs for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide technical direction on material selection and constructability in design-build projects.
• Collaborate with sales, PreBid and engineering to resolve scope and bid discrepancies.
