Job summary

STR is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer in the Arlington area to drive real-time DSP software for advanced radar systems. You will lead architecture, design, and implementation across the signal processing chain, working with multidisciplinary teams to meet tight timelines.

The role requires strong C++ (C++17+), radar knowledge, and prior experience with DSP on real-time platforms. A SECRET clearance with TS eligibility is required, along with U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Requires Active SECRET clearance with eligibility for TS; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience implementing real-time DSP in C++ on radar-related systems.
• Strong knowledge of radar concepts, EW, and digital signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of embedded software for radar/EW systems with DSP implementations.
• Architect and implement software for multi-function, deployable radar systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive system requirements and specifications.
• Prepare design docs, test plans, and reports; communicate progress to stakeholders.
