Job summary

STR, a leading defense tech company, seeks a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement real-time DSP for advanced radar systems. You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to deliver complete signal processing chains across simulations and field deployments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or higher degree with commensurate experience.
  • 7+ years of C++ development experience.
  • 1 year of CUDA development experience.
  • Signal processing background in EE or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of real-time DSP in radar/EW systems.
  • Architect and implement embedded software in deliverable systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive system requirements.
  • Research new software implementations and roadmap technology.
  • Document solutions with design specs and test plans.
  • Evaluate performance via simulations and real-world testing.
  • Prepare assessments and participate in technical reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Deliver results within tight timeframes.

Real-time signal processing in C++ (C+

Xilinx MPSoC / RFSoC platforms

Education

Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of applicable experience
