Job summary

STR is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement real-time DSP software for advanced radar systems. You will lead embedded software activities, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and guide the complete signal processing chain from concept to deployment in operational environments.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or higher in a technical field with 7+ years of relevant experience, expertise in C++17+, DSP, radar concepts, and experience with Xilinx

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of applicable experience (or higher degrees with adjusted experience).
Active SECRET clearance with eligibility to obtain Top Secret (TS).
Experience in real-time signal processing and radar systems.

Responsibilities

Develop DSP and embedded software for radar/EW systems.
Lead embedded software design and implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements.
Research, identify new approaches and contribute to technology roadmaps.
Deliver documentation, design specs, test plans and reports.
Communicate project status to internal teams and stakeholders.
