Job summary

STR is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement real-time DSP and embedded software for advanced radar systems. You will lead teams, collaborate with researchers and engineers, and guide software across the complete signal processing chain.

The role requires strong C++ (C++17+), hands-on experience with radar, EW, and DSP, and the ability to deliver under tight timeframes. U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance are required or eligible.

Qualifications

Experience implementing real-time DSP in C++ for radar/EW systems.
Ability to lead embedded software development and coordinate technical work.
Knowledge of radar systems design, verification, testing, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Support and/or lead DSP development for radar/EW systems.
Architect and implement embedded software in multi-function, deliverable systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive requirements and roadmaps.
Research new embedded software approaches and lead technology/product roadmaps.
Document solutions, design specs, test plans and reports.
Validate system performance via simulations and real-world testing.
