Job summary

STR is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and lead real-time processing solutions for advanced radar systems. You will work with researchers and engineers to create DSP architectures and embedded software for multi-function radar platforms.

The role requires strong C++17+ expertise, radar knowledge, and a track record in leading technical teams. An active SECRET clearance is required, with eligibility for TS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• At least 7 years of applicable experience; higher degrees accepted.
• Active SECRET clearance with eligibility for TS.
• Experience with real-time DSP in C++.
• Knowledge of radar and electronic warfare concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded software development for radar/EW systems.
• Architect and implement DSP in embedded software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements.
• Research, understand, and lead new embedded software implementations; refine technology roadmaps.
• Prepare documentation, design specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with leaders to deliver solutions.
