Job summary

STR in the Boston area seeks a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement real-time processing solutions for advanced radar systems. You will lead teams across DSP and software, aligning architecture with system requirements and delivering deployable embedded solutions.

You will apply C++ and DSP techniques, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and contribute to test plans, performance analyses, and documentation to ensure high-quality, reusable products for defense

Qualifications

• Active SECRET security clearance with eligibility to obtain TS.
• Experience in real-time signal processing implementations in C++.
• Knowledge of radar systems and their design, verification, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of radar/EW systems through DSP implementation.
• Architect and implement embedded software for multi-function systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive system requirements.
• Identify new technical approaches and contribute to technology roadmaps.
• Document solutions, design specs, test plans, and performance analyses.
• Communicate progress clearly to team, management, and customers.
• Conduct performance analysis via simulations and real-world testing.
