Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to join our growing team. This role focuses on design, analysis, and upgrades of medium- and low-voltage power systems for industrial energy clients from concept through commissioning.

You will lead on projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors. Hybrid or remote work is possible near an LSC office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of electrical power systems experience in industrial/utility/consulting.
• Experience designing/modifying MV (1 kV–38 kV) and LV power distribution systems.
• Hands-on modeling in SKM ETAP EasyPower or equivalents, with data-based model building.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards related to industrial power systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain power system models from field data and studies.
• Develop protective relay settings and coordination for various equipment.
• Design and review electrical diagrams, switchgear, and DC systems.
• Prepare technical specifications for MV/LV equipment and review vendor submittals.
• Lead electrical scope on projects and mentor junior staff.
