Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Systems to join our growing team. This high-impact leadership role focuses on solving complex electrical design challenges and guiding projects from concept through execution.

You will support diverse industrial and energy infrastructure projects, serve as a technical lead and mentor, and drive practical, high-quality engineering solutions while supporting business growth and client partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• “10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.”
• “Professional Engineer (PE) license required.”
• “Experience with SKM or ETAP.”
• “Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, API and AGA practices.”
• “Proven experience in a technical leadership role.”

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate to large-scale electrical engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Serve as a technical lead and make sound decisions on complex engineering issues.
• Develop and oversee power system designs, controls drawings, engineering calculations, and project documentation.
• Design electrical service interconnects with local utility providers.
• Prepare specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
• Perform/lead electrical system studies, detailed design, design reviews, field investigations and reporting.
• Use SKM or ETAP for system modeling and analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors and vendors.
• Identify risks, scope changes and challenges early and proactively.
• Contribute to proposal development, cost estimating, and business development.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
