Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. The Construction Lead Electrical Field Engineer role focuses on construction engineering within the electrical discipline, translating design drawings into on-site work and supervising field electrical personnel.

You will ensure compliance with design, manage materials, oversee cost reporting, and coordinate with the Project Engineer and subcontractors to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or international equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience with electrical construction, design verification, and field inspection.
• Commitment to Environment, Safety, and Health (ES&H) practices.
• Familiarity with Bechtel standards and project control tools (BSAPs).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues for electrical systems, lighting, HV equipment, grounding, and DCS.
• Establish clear communication with the Project Engineer and plan deliverables for electrical construction.
• Manage quantity take-off, forecasting, and cost reporting for electrical activities.
• Direct preparation of field requisitions for materials, services, and equipment including panels, motors, and switchgear.
• Review material receiving and warehousing to ensure correct delivery of electrical materials.
• Coordinate interfaces for electrical data exchange to support the construction automation plan.
• Develop and manage the electrical construction quality program.
