Job summary

Bechtel is hiring a Construction Lead Electrical Field Engineer for the New Albany, Ohio project. The role oversees electrical construction engineering, interpretation of drawings, cable installations and field verification, ensuring alignment with design while enforcing construction per design.

You will work with Project Engineer to manage deliverables, procurements, and field changes, contributing to safety, quality, and schedule adherence on a multi-million square foot semiconductor facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in electrical engineering required.
• Experience in construction and technical inspection of electrical/design disciplines.
• Strong commitment to ES&H and Zero Accident safety program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues for electrical systems.
• Establish communication with Project Engineer and manage electrical deliverables.
• Direct cost estimates, reports, and progress tracking for electrical construction.
• Coordinate field procurement, material substitutions, and equipment like panels, motors, switchgear.
• Review material receiving reports and ensure correct electrical materials are delivered.
• Support construction schedules and ensure operations adhere to design specifications.
