Job summary

Bechtel is managing a semiconductor manufacturing plant construction in New Albany, Ohio. The role leads construction engineering, oversees subcontracts, and coordinates engineering liaison with design teams to ensure seamless project execution on Phase 1 of the Ohio One project.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and extensive experience in construction, contract administration, and safety programs to drive project milestones and deliverables on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 8–14 years of relevant experience (or 12–14 years).
• Thorough knowledge of construction activities, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
• Familiar with Bechtel's Ethics handbook and policies.
• Knowledge of ES&H Handbook and Bechtel Core Processes.
• Knowledge of environment requirements and Bechtel's Zero Accidents safety program.
• Experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
• Duties include lead engineering roles coordinating multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with engineering on constructability and design issues.
• Establishes design/field engineering relationships and deliverables with the Project Engineer.
• Responsible for quantity take-off, cost reporting, and forecasting.
• Directs design of temporary construction facilities as required.
• Coordinates and monitors interfacing between construction automation and project controls.
• Directs preparation of cost estimates and progress reports.
• Reviews project controls documents on cost and schedule progress.
• Develops and enforces SWPPs and deviations.
• Coordinates subcontract activities to ensure materials and quality meet specifications.
• Plans procedures with superintendents to meet engineering design requirements.
